I posted some pics of my OM that I finished last week, and here is its big brother that was built at the same time. It is a Sitka Spruce Dred with Indian Rosewood back and sides. The neck is Mahogany and the fingerboard and bridge are ebony. I bound it in maple with no purfling. I like the sound of this guy but not as much as the previous OM. Thanks for looking. I am new to the whole picture thing so please excuse the reflections and bad focusing. Homeboy |

I finished it with Target water based lacquer. I like it because I am spraying on my back porch and then hanging the guitar in my dining room (my wife loves it!!). It is a little soft but not bad and I can buff it out after about 3 days instead of waiting 2 weeks for nitro which hurts my lungs as well. Thanks for looking. I appreciate all of the nice comments. That looks fantastic Blake! I love that binding, just adds that little extra zing... Great looking finish too! By the way, I really enjoyed your website, man... That axe has a killer burst on your homepage and I really dug your build philosophy. Kaizen, indeed... |
